About Fedora :
Fedora is one of the popular GNU/Linux distributions sponsored by Red Hat and supported by the community. It got its name after a soft felt hat.
The main purpose of the project is to test new technologies. Which are planned to be subsequently included in the products of Red Hat and other developers. Users of the distribution do not have the opportunity to receive support directly from RedHat; it is provided by members of the open community.
The goal of this project is to create a complete OS based on free software. A new version is released every six to eight months in accordance with the available schedule.
Fedora Workstation is a consumer operating system for laptops and desktops. Based on Red Hat Linux, the distribution uses the RPM package manager to install, update, and remove packages.
Distributed as Live images
– Fedora is available as a Live DVD ISO for installation, as well as a Live CD for each of its many flavors (eg netinstall for network installation). A large ISO with distribution sources and installable DVDs are available for download. The DVD image comes with all desktop environments supported by Fedora: GNOME, KDE, Xfce, LXDE, and MATE.

– In addition to installing the latest version of Fedora Linux, the bootable media can be used to restore an existing Fedora installation, run memory tests, boot from a local drive, and install Fedora in secure graphical mode.

– Not only is the installation wizard modern and intelligent, but the installation process itself is simple and intuitive. The installer automatically detects most hardware components and provides users with a summary of the installation.
On the summary screen, you can change the date and time, keyboard layout, system language, configure the network, select the installation source, select the desktop environment and applications to install and the disk partition.
– Next, you can configure root (system administrator), password and new user. That’s all, the installation process will continue to deploy files from the bootable media and notify users when to reboot the system.
